If you’re planning a registry wedding, the Marriage Office Mandurah is one of the most beautiful and relaxed places to say “I do.”
As a Mandurah wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing multiple weddings at the Marriage Office, and each one has been completely unique — from musicians with endless laughter to boat arrivals and second-chance love stories.
Registry weddings may be intimate, but they are never small in meaning.
Why Choose the Marriage Office Mandurah for Your Wedding?
The Marriage Office in Mandurah offers a warm, welcoming space for couples wanting something simple, heartfelt and beautifully organised. Inside, Michelle has created thoughtfully styled areas perfect for portraits, so even if the weather turns, your photos still feel polished and intentional.
After the ceremony, couples can walk across the nearby footbridge or down toward the canals for stunning waterfront portraits. The Mandurah foreshore provides soft natural light and relaxed backdrops that photograph beautifully.
Working as a Mandurah wedding photographer means understanding how to use these spaces creatively — whether it’s inside the ceremony room or outdoors along the canals.
Geoffrey & Darrelle – Laughter, Music and Canals
Geoffrey and Darrelle were married on May 21, 2025, surrounded by just ten of their closest people.
Both musicians, their relationship radiates joy and humour. I genuinely don’t think I have laughed more at a wedding than I did that day. Their energy was infectious — playful, warm and completely authentic.
After their ceremony, we captured portraits inside the Marriage Office in the beautifully styled areas Michelle has set up. Then we walked over the footbridge and down toward the marina for the rest of their portraits.
The Mandurah marina provided the perfect backdrop for relaxed, candid images that reflected their fun-loving relationship. It was simple, intimate and completely them.
Raewyn & Scott – A Boat Arrival and a Kilt
In November, Raewyn and Scott gathered around 30 of their friends and family for their Mandurah registry wedding.
Both having been married before, this day felt grounded, calm and deeply meaningful. There was no pressure — just joy.
Scott arrived by boat, wearing a kilt, instantly setting the tone for a celebration that was personal and unapologetically unique. After the ceremony at the Marriage Office Mandurah, they didn’t drive off — they sailed home.
As a Mandurah wedding photographer, moments like this are why I love registry weddings. They are small in size, but big in personality.
Ashley & Rebekah – Second Chances and Family
Ashley and Rebekah were married in June, with just their children and a couple of close friends present.
Both had been married before and found love with each other later in life. After going through IVF to welcome their daughter, their wedding day felt like the beginning of a new chapter built on resilience and hope.
Their ceremony at the Marriage Office Mandurah was emotional and heartfelt, with their children right by their side. The day was filled with laughter, hugs and that quiet kind of happiness that comes from knowing you’ve found the right person.
Being a Mandurah wedding photographer means witnessing these deeply personal stories unfold — and capturing them in a way that feels honest and true.
Planning Your Own Mandurah Registry Wedding?
Registry weddings at the Marriage Office Mandurah are perfect for couples wanting a relaxed, meaningful celebration without the overwhelm of a large traditional wedding.
With beautiful indoor portrait spaces and easy access to the Mandurah foreshore and canals, it offers stunning photo opportunities within walking distance.
