If you’re dreaming of a forest wedding surrounded by towering trees and the peaceful sounds of nature, Jarrahfall Bushcamp in Dwellingup is something truly special.
As a Dwellingup wedding photographer, I love capturing weddings at Jarrahfall because no matter the time of day, the bushland light is always beautiful. The property offers endless natural backdrops — from towering jarrah trees to the dam and quiet forest trails — making it perfect for couples wanting a rustic, country-style celebration.
Josh and Rayna’s October 2025 wedding at Jarrahfall was the perfect example of how magical a forest wedding can be.

A Rustic Country Wedding in the Heart of Dwellingup
From the moment I arrived for getting ready, there was a calm, grounded energy to the day. Jarrahfall Bushcamp creates that naturally — it feels tucked away from the world, allowing couples to truly focus on what matters.
Josh and Rayna’s vibe was beautifully rustic and country-inspired. Surrounded by nature and their favourite people, their ceremony in the bushland felt intimate and deeply meaningful.
One of the most emotional moments came during the vows.
Josh not only spoke to Rayna about his love for her, but he also directed part of his vows to Rayna’s daughter, expressing how much she meant to him and the commitment he was making to her as well. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
As a Dwellingup wedding photographer, these are the moments I live for — the real emotion, the quiet tears, the depth behind the words.

The Best “First Look” Surprise
Before the ceremony, there was one moment no one will forget.
The groom thought he was about to have a romantic first look with Rayna. Instead, his best man appeared… wearing a wedding dress.
The surprise was perfectly executed and completely unexpected. The laughter that followed set the tone for the rest of the day — joyful, relaxed and full of personality.
It’s these kinds of moments that make forest weddings at Jarrahfall Bushcamp so memorable. The space allows couples to be themselves, have fun and create stories that truly reflect who they are.

Forest Portraits at Jarrahfall Bushcamp
All of Josh and Rayna’s portraits were taken on the Jarrahfall Bushcamp property — from the bushland trails to the dam.
One of the things I love most about being a Dwellingup wedding photographer is how effortlessly beautiful the surroundings are. You don’t need elaborate styling or dramatic backdrops. The towering trees, filtered sunlight and earthy tones create depth and softness naturally.
Whether it’s golden hour light spilling through the trees or soft overcast skies, Jarrahfall photographs beautifully at any time of day.
With space to wander and slow down, Josh and Rayna’s portraits felt relaxed and genuine — exactly what you want when you step away from the celebration for a few quiet moments together.
Why Forest Weddings in Dwellingup Are So Special
There’s something incredibly grounding about getting married in the forest. The towering jarrah trees, the quiet rustle of leaves and the natural textures create a setting that feels both peaceful and powerful. As a Dwellingup wedding photographer, I find that forest weddings allow couples to relax into the moment in a way that’s different from more traditional venues. The bushland setting softens everything — the light, the mood and even the pace of the day.
Jarrahfall Bushcamp is especially beautiful because it keeps everything in one place. Getting ready, ceremony, portraits and reception can all happen surrounded by nature, without the need to travel between locations. That seamless flow makes the entire wedding day feel calm and intentional.
